Community Services of Nevada (CSNV) offers free one-on-one counseling services to guide you through the home purchase process. Want to become a homeowner, we can help you get started!!! * Pre-Purchase Education * Mortgage products * Action Plan * Finding the right loan for you * Budgeting * Using a realtor * Credit history * Title Closing * Criteria for buying a home This program is directed at low-to-moderate income first-time homebuyers. The eight-hour Pre-Purchase Education workshop is based on HUD Guidelines and is offered twice per month in both English and Spanish. The workshops guide prospective homebuyers through the home application process, from securing a mortgage to purchasing a home. Once prospective homebuyers have completed the First-Time Pre-Purchase Education class, they are scheduled for a one-on-one counseling appointment with the Housing Counselor who reviews the clients' eligibility for mortgage readiness and down payment assistance programs. |

A Housing Education Certificate is awarded to participants upon completion of the Pre-Purchase Education workshop. This certificate is required by most lenders, the Down Payment Assistance and the Affordable Homebuyer Programs.
